We’re Raising Our Voices—and Funds—for The Valerie Fund
At Dank Poet Dispensary, our mission is to elevate individuals and communities through cannabis, the arts, and education. This June, we’re proud to stand with The Valerie Fund, a nonprofit that provides comprehensive care for children with cancer and blood disorders right here in New Jersey.
Since 1976, The Valerie Fund has offered not only medical treatment, but emotional, educational, and financial support to young patients and their families—at a time they need it most.
Why It Matters to Us
This cause is deeply personal. Deborah, one of our owners, turned to The Valerie Fund when her son was diagnosed with Leukemia at just 4½ years old. The care, compassion, and community the Fund provided during the most difficult time of her family’s life left an indelible mark. Today, her son is 19 and just completed his first year of college—a milestone made possible in part by the support of The Valerie Fund.

How You Can Help
Throughout June, Dank Poet Dispensary and Anthologie are partnering to spread good. We’ll be donating proceeds and collecting customer contributions to support this vital and lifesaving cause.
The Valerie Fund provides comprehensive care to children with cancer and blood disorders and their families in our centers at eight pediatric hospitals in NJ, NY and metro Philadelphia. We also offer support beyond our centers because we believe that the most effective way to heal the children in our care is to treat them in mind, body and spirit. That support starts the minute you step into one of our centers and continues well after you walk out the door.
The Valerie Fund Centers are hospital-based specialty centers where children are diagnosed and treated for cancer and blood disorders. At our centers, psychosocial staff work alongside medical staff to help patients and families navigate through the fear, stress and uncertainty that go hand in hand with their illness.
The reason our care is so unique is that we provide each patient and family with a team of specialists who give unconditional support throughout their journey. This team becomes an extended family whose experience with children and healthcare and compassion for patients and families make a challenging time easier and healing possible. These are the people and programs at The Valerie Fund that surround the family with ongoing individualized care.
