Savor every moment

Joint Journal

At Fernway, we believe cannabis makes the good life even better. Good music, good food, good company, good scenery: cannabis elevates it all.

Our name is inspired by the German word Fernweh: the longing for faraway places. It’s at the heart of why we love cannabis. Life’s an adventure and we want you to savor every moment.

Gorgeous Warren County, located in northwestern New Jersey, is home to a variety of natural areas and small towns to satisfy your longing for those faraway places while staying close to the comforts of home. Whether you choose to spend an afternoon hiking in our several local parks, riding bikes along the area rail trails, visiting our farm markets, or just browsing the shops and enjoying the cafes and restaurants in our reviving downtowns, Fernway offers an array of products to elevate your experience.

What are you longing for? If you enjoy a day of walking in the forests and mountains, the nearby Delaware Water Gap features miles of hiking trails that are suitable for beginners and expert hikers alike. The climb to the summit of Mount Tammany is rugged yet short, and the hiker is rewarded with views of the Delaware River and Tammany’s sister summit, Mount Minsi, in Pennsylvania.

A hike of this caliber pairs well with Fernway Red-Headed Stranger, available in a 0.3g Traveler Disposable or a 0.5g cart.

The Water Gap is home to several beautiful waterfalls, easily accessible by car or a short walk. Pack a picnic and don’t forget your camera when you visit Buttermilk Falls in nearby Walpack, NJ. A staircase follows the waterfall for an easy and picturesque climb to the top. The Tillman Ravine trail is an easy and accessible hike through a hemlock grove and is just a short walk up the road from Buttermilk Falls.

Elevate your experience by pairing your day with Pineland Diesel for the perfect balance of relaxation and easy traveling in nature.

For information and trail maps, visit the Delaware Water Gap website and look for recommendations from NJ Hiking. Download the All Trails app for routes, maps, and suggested local attractions.

We have something for everyone in our region and we share several rail trails with our local counties. Bring your bike and head to the Sussex Branch trail for a ride through the region. From the Sussex Branch trail, you can explore the Great Valley Loop and return along the Paulinksill Rail Trail and see the Paulinskill River restoration currently in progress.

A cycling experience pairs well with Fernway Mango or Cranberry Jam for a relaxed ride through the forests and farmlands.

If taking in an afternoon of antiques while sipping an iced latte is what you’re longing for, then head to nearby downtown Washington and Belvidere.

Washington is home to a bustling revitalization featuring art galleries, cafes, shops, and restaurants. Stop by the Laughing Goat café for a refreshing hot or cold beverage before heading to the Cellar Door for an afternoon of browsing antiques and unique handmade items. Don’t forget to visit Gaia’s Gifts for beautiful crystal jewelry, incense, books, and candles. Check out Kathy’s Kove for the selection of fair-trade items that benefit local communities of indigenous women in their native countries.

In the nearby Victorian town of Belvidere, you can rock your heart out at Vintage Vu, a local music shop with a selection of vinyl, CDs, and cassette tapes to satisfy all your analog and digital music needs. Visit Infloressence for a beautiful art made by local artists, handmade household items, and gourmet chocolates. Enjoy lunch at Harper’s Table and finish off the day lounging by the calm waters of the Delaware River at the park near the bridge.

A day of shopping and enjoying local foods is elevated by Fernway’s delicious Blueberry Cake carts for a mellow day of taking in the local towns.

Whether you live here or are just visiting, the farms and farmers of Warren County have something to offer everyone.

Stop at Donaldson’s Farm for locally grown produce and visit the animals in their petting zoo.
